Where appropriate we will use theory to illustrate and reinforce messages. Sometimes particular theories can help people find a language to express ideas - such as the parent, adult, child model from transactional analysis or type theory from Myers-Briggs (MBTI).
However we encourage people to reflect on experience and to give weight to theory only to the extent they find it useful.
